Multi-Client Projects Update

July 9, 2009

Noetic continues to offer leverage to its clients on engineering services through a variety of Multi-Client Projects (MCP’s) related to connection evaluation and material selection bases for sour thermal-well environments:

  • Thermal Well Casing Connection Evaluation Protocol (TWCCEP) development project is ongoing with 11 participants. Closure on project activities is expected in the next 3 months. Signup for the subsequent project phase, Product Line Evaluation Guideline Development, is currently underway.
  • The project entitled Synergistic Impacts of Thermo-Mechanical Loading and Environmental Corrosion-Cracking on Tubular Materials for Thermal Wells is in full-swing with 17 participants. Current activities focus on preparation of experimental investigations, which will be carried out in support of the development of the synergistic test methodology. In this project, Noetic leads a resource team that also includes C-FER Technologies, Alberta Research Council, Ammonite Corrosion Engineering, and Marion Oilfield Engineering. Our next project meeting is planned in Edmonton in 2009–10.
